Where the Waters Become One

From different heights,
the waters descend.

Each carries a journey of its own—
shaped by mountains,
guided through stone,
gathering strength along the way.

No waterfall asks another
to follow the same path.

Some arrive with tremendous force.
Others travel farther,
bending through valleys
before finding the open water.

Yet below, they begin to meet.

Not by becoming identical,
but by contributing what each has carried.

Their currents cross.
Their depths mingle.
Their movement creates something
none could have formed alone.

And the landscape responds.

Life gathers along the banks.
Paths emerge beside the rivers.
Bridges reach across them.
New growth appears
where the water continues to flow.

Perhaps we are much the same.

We arrive through different experiences,
carrying different perspectives,
different strengths,
different ways of becoming.

We do not need the same beginning
to share a meaningful direction.

There is room for individuality
within something greater.

Room to contribute
without disappearing.

Room to change
without losing what made the journey ours.

And when enough living currents
find their way toward one another,

the world does not become smaller.

It expands.

Five falls.
Countless currents.
One evolving landscape.

And still,
the water continues.
