When Joy Multiplies

Joy rarely belongs to a single moment.
It gathers through many—

a laugh arriving unexpectedly,
a familiar face becoming new again,
a movement that invites another,
a celebration with no need for occasion.

One moment awakens the next.

Energy moves between us,
not asking to be contained,
but expanding through expression,
motion, color, sound, and presence.

We begin to realize that happiness
does not have to remain measured.

Sometimes it can overflow.

We can run toward the water,
dance without knowing the steps,
laugh louder than intended,
and allow enthusiasm to carry us
somewhere we never planned to go.

There is freedom in that exuberance.

Not everything meaningful
has to arrive through stillness.
Life also speaks through excitement—
through the sudden spark that becomes contagious,
through many people discovering
their own reasons to feel alive.

And when those moments meet,
something greater begins.

One smile becomes several.
One movement becomes a gathering.
One possibility becomes many.

Joy no longer belongs
to any single person.

It travels.

It changes the environment around us,
opening spaces we might never have entered
and revealing experiences
we could never have created alone.

Perhaps that is one of life's simplest wonders:

Joy does not diminish when shared.

It multiplies.
